You can tell waterbuck from kudu because the waterbuck have straighter horns, smaller ears, and look like they've sat on a white-painted toilet seat.

Hyena den. Built out of a huge old termite mound. The pups are about 1 month old, and will lose their brown coloring in favor of spots in about another 2 months.

This is as much of a hippo as we saw until Thursday, when we finally saw one out of the water.
We stopped each evening around sunset for "sundowners," a very civilized end to the day.
